Project Update!

I had hoped to update you on our "Project" earlier in the week, but what a week it has been. I met with Russell here at Tyson again on Wednesday and I got some very exciting news! He has met with a tax person, banker, and another influential person who is very involved in charities and helps set them up. It looks like this thing could go BIG! Here is where we stand right now. We have all the wheels in motion. We are working on the logistics on rules, accounts, distribution of funds, etc. I have some homework as well and that involves speaking with the Marine Corps to make sure we have their blessing to move forward and we aren't causing any issues for them, writing "the story" as well as making some contacts to people I feel would be able to help us (i.e. Peyton Manning and the Colts, TN Vols, media, etc.). We are going to initially keep our focus on the Marine Corps and hopefully once it is off and running we can branch out into other military branches. My dream for this "Project" would be that not one soldier ever misses going home before or after deployments because they can't afford it. I still can't ever imagine not having those 11 days with my baby boy and for him to be here and spending precious time with his family and friends that he loved so much. I will forever be grateful to the Lord and especially my wonderful husband for making it possible for us to purchase Chad and Katie's plane tickets to get them here before he left for Afghanistan! It is 11 wonderful days that I will always cherish more than my simple words could ever explain. I'm so excited and I hope you can feel it through my words and I wouldn't be this far without my Tyson family (especially Russell Tooley) and my supportive husband. I know he knows when I get my mind set on something I will stop at nothing to achieve it so he knew what he was getting into when he encouraged and supported me in kicking this off. Bless his heart, I don't know if I've ever been so passionate about anything like I am over this project.

So.... we need a wonderful name for this project. I was doodling a couple of names so I am going to open this up to any and all that would like to participate in giving suggestions for names. Whatever name we use will be "In loving memory of CPL Chad S Wade", but we want the focus to be on all our precious soldiers so my first couple of thoughts were "Soldiers' Wings" and "Wings for Troops". Put your thinking caps on and come up with some names for our wonderful project. I would like to take the time now to say thank you in advance to Russell Tooley, Tebo, my family and friends, and everyone that will end up touching this project. I know I will be blown away by the generosity and love and support we will receive. More importantly, I want to thank my precious son, CPL Chad S Wade, for not only his sacrifice, but for his love that fuels my passion for this mission. All my love and appreciation.

  4. Eagle's Wings
Why? Not only is this my favorite song ever. But look at what the lyrics are....they fit, in fact they fit so much....it's scary actually.
Plus, what better name to honor those that protect our country, freedom and all we stand for...after our national bird.

    Lyrics to Eagle's Wings:
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord, "My Refuge,
My Rock in Whom I trust."

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
    And famine will bring you no fear;
    Under His Wings your refuge,
    His faithfulness your shield.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
    Though thousands fall about you,
Near you it shall not come.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
For to His angels He's given a command,
To guard you in all of your ways,
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

LOVE YOU, LOVE YOU, LOVE YOU!!!- H.B.

  7. These are awesome suggestions! I don't know how I will even chose one. My brother had another good one, "Gabriel Project". Gabriel is a warrior angel with wings that can fly wherever he wants. Thank you Clay.
