I can't love you back- Easton Corbin +LYRICS

As a mom (or any parent) there really isn't anything we won't do for our children. We sometimes have to show tough love, but fortunately for the most part, the love is the easiest part. I will say that I never thought my love for Chad would never be enough, but this song says it all. I am sure it was written to mean about a relationship between a man and a woman, but the words really spoke to me that no matter how much and how long I've loved Chadman, I can't love him back. It cuts like a knife and it's hard to comprehend that as much love as I have for that child/young man, it isn't enough to bring him back. I just hate Mondays. They seem to be the hardest days of the week for some reason and today is no different, but this song truly spoke to me today. I had never heard it before so I looked it up after it was on the radio and listened to it over and over again. I wish I could just love you back!

  1. Dear Tami,

I found your blog a while back when I was googling mothers of Marines. My son is in Afghanistan, he is due back in 10 days. Your blog is beautifully written and inspiring (as well as heartbreaking). Thank you for your courage, sacrifice and honesty. Since you have shared many songs - here is one I hope you like. Listening to it always makes me feel better when I am missing my son.

  2. Thank you Mary Ellen. You are right, that song is perfect! I will remember it always and listen to it often. It does bring a certain amount of comfort. Thank you for that. I will pray for your son's safe and speedy return home. I can't wait for you to wrap your arms around him. I know it will be a blessed and happy day for you both.
